Sr. Backend Engineer (Nodejs/Typscript)

Who you are:

  • Seasoned software engineer with 5-7 years of progressive hands-on experience
  • Passionate about writing and maintaining high-quality software that solves real-world

meaningful problems at scale.

  • Make decisions and trade-offs based on project context and dependencies.
  • Expert in Node.js stack using TypeScript.
  • JavaScript is your primary language, with the favor of TypeScript flavor.
  • Basic Python knowledge to work with 3-rd party data processing libraries.
  • Practitioner of 12-factor app methodology.
  • Expert in AWS technologies.
  • Familiar with search application paradigms (information retrieval, facets, indices) and various

search platforms (Elastic, Solr).


What you do:

  • Passionate about creating, scaling and managing APIs and services using Node.js.
  • Build cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Experience in (or at least full comprehension of) serverless architecture using SAM or

ServerLess.com "Infrastructure as code" frameworks.

  • Knowledge of using GraphQL/Apollo on real-life projects.
  • Utilized various RDBMS (we use PostgreSQL), data modeling and schema design,

comfortable with various ORM tools.

  • Solid understanding of NOSQL, knowledgable of availability and consistency trade-offs.
  • Comprehension of CI/CD using any tools (Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, CircleCI, etc.) and

relevant provisioning systems.
